As an Edward Jones Financial Advisor, I believe it is important to invest my time to understand what you're working towards before we develop a strategy to help you reach your goals. The Financial world can sometimes seem like a foreign territory; I can work one-on-one with you to help you determine the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your family.
Prior to joining Edward Jones, I spent 10 years in finance, sales, business development, and account management with PepsiCo, Quaker Oats and Groupe Danone. I came to Edward Jones in 2003 because I wanted to help individual investors work towards achieving their financial goals. In addition my Sr Branch Office Administrator, Pat Thombley is always here to help with your administrative needs. Pat and I have worked as a team for nine years to help insure each client feels welcomed and valued. In 2008, our practice was featured in the spring issue of Loudoun Magazine,'Clean your Affairs' and in 2010 we were recognized for Client Service Excellence.
A 1993 graduate of Tuskegee University, I hold a BS in Finance. I received the AAMS professional designation in 2010. I have served the firm in numerous leadership capacities such as Visiting Veteran and Mentor. I currently serve as Area Bridge Leader, responsible for identifying talented individuals to join our firm.
I've lived in Loudoun County, Virginia since 1998. As an active community member, I currently serve as a member of the Board and President-elect for the Loudoun Volunteer Financial Council. I have served as President of the Sterling Rotary Club and as Trustee for The First Baptist Church of Vienna. However, my most gratifying role is that of family man. Community Outreach:
Books for America - Bring new or gently used books for people of all ages.
A little about Books for America - Books for America is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC that is having a huge impact on thousands of disadvantaged individuals in the Nation's Capital and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Their mission is to promote literacy, life-long learning and understanding by distributing donated new and used books of all types and other forms of educational media to organizations serving disadvantaged communities and individuals.
Because they collect all types of books, they are able to provide books to people of all ages. This makes Books for America unique among most non-profit organizations in the United States. Recipients include adult and youth literacy programs, youth centers, transitional homeless shelters, hospitals, inner-city and rural schools, military bases, assisted living communities for seniors, veterans hospitals, women's shelters, hospices, and other such organizations.
In 2012, they donated over 25,000 books to various organizations from public schools, DC Parks and Recreation, hospitals/clinics and Ronald McDonald House. They have a DC store near Dupont Circle and a warehouse in Fairfax VA.
Monthly Raffles: We will continue our monthly raffles. The money raised from January through June will be matched by WMAC and donated to Books for America.
