Topic: Skillful Collaboration
Do you find it difficult to work with others? Would you rather do everything yourself? If your answer is yes, you are not alone. However, that is not always the best approach. This educational workshop will cover important aspects of skillfully working with others. It will discuss when to collaborate and build upon our existing skills to establish a more effective environment. In the end, you will be able to see how skillful collaboration can improve processes, align goals, improve productivity, and increase personal satisfaction. Working as a team does not have to be a dreaded project when you have the right tools in your toolbox. Come to Skillful Collaboration- Working Together for Success to discover what tools you're missing.

Community Outreach:

Food & Friends is the only community-based organization in the D.C. region providing home-delivered medically tailored meals and medical nutrition therapy to our neighbors living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, and other serious illnesses.
Led by Reverend Carla Gorrell in 1988, local community leaders were in search of ways to support meal delivery for people with AIDS. In 1989, Food & Friends was incorporated and their reach began to expand outside to people with other medical needs. This organization has grown immensely and now supports hundreds volunteers delivering meals to clients. Food & Friends served its 20 millionth meal inn 2016. The organization has had trouble making it through COVID due to decrease in the number of volunteers allowed.
WMAC has set a fundraising goal of $3,000.00. WMAC will match all donations made to Food & Friends through the website. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so as you progress through your chapter registration or you can visit the Community page on the website. It is an available product, select the product by clicking ADD and it will then allow you to enter a donation amount. The cash amount is left open for you to fill in any dollar value you wish to donate. Thank you in advance.
